There are fast boats that take only 9 hours to get to the border. They cost US$70 and leave early every morning from "El Huequito".

There are several services, but all of them have the same characteristics:

Days: Every day except Mondays
Time to get there: 5.30am
Departure: 6:00am
Port: "El Huequito" at La Marina Ave. in front of San Carlos Gas Station (any motocar knows)
Duration: 9 hours (approximately, as everything here in the jungle)
Cost: S/200 (US$70). Breakfast and lunch are included. You can carry up to 15kg.

Boats:
TRANSTUR. Transportes Amazónicos de Turismo S.A. - Calle Raymondi 384 - Tel: 22-1356 - transtursa@hotmail.com
GOLFINHO. Calle Raymondi 378 - Tel 22-5118 - transportegolfinho@hotmail.com
Sobre la calle Raymondi a la altura de la cuadra 3 encontrarán algunas otras empresas que también cubren este trayecto.

The boat will leave you in Santa Rosa, in the Peruvian side. From there, you can take a smaller boat to Leticia or Tabatinga for around US$6.

Buen Viaje!

El post fue editado, debido que hace unos dias pase por el lugar y me dicen que el precio subio. El pasaje antes scostaba s/150-US$50. El cambio fue echo a finales de Junio de 2010.
